Crain’s Small Business Week: Good Food Business
Thanks to everyone who attended our Crain’s Small Business Week event, “Scaling Up Your Food Enterprise” event on Tuesday night! We were thrilled to have sold out of our 50 tickets, and were sorry that we weren’t able to open up the event to the 35 people on the waitlist. The event was a great reminder of all the excitement surrounding new Good Food businesses in Chicago!
Kathy Nyquist of New Venture Advisors spoke to Good Food business owners about strategies for business planning, budgeting, and marketing, and growth. Kim Hack of SLoFIG enlightened us about the investment process, and how food businesses can better position themselves. Paul Hardej of Farmed Here showed examples from his own new and growing aquaponics business. Thanks to Whole Foods Market for hosting us, Crain’s Small Business Week for supporting Good Food business, and all of your who attended for your excitement and insightful questions. We hope we’ll be able to have another event like this in the future!
