Traders Point Farm Organics9101 Moore RoadZionsville, IN 46077 Fritz & Jane Kunz took over the operation of a farm that has been in Jane’s family since the 1950s. They transitioned the farm to organic, and now use what were once hayfields for rotational grazing for their herd. Jane serves as president of the operation, and Fritz is a physician. What may seem like an unlikely combination has proved beneficial to the farm; the family strives to produce highly nutritious products, and Fritz’s medical knowledge is a great resource as they work towards that end. The couple’s two daughters, Anne and Carey, and son Kamman come together with their parents to help with Friday evening markets at the farm and Saturday farmers’ markets in other locations. They also do some occasional milking of the cows and helping with the chickens. The farm additionally employs a few professionals to lend expertise to such things as creating products and rotational grazing. Traders Point Farm Organics raises 100 cows to produce their specialty dairy products, which can be found under the name Traders Point Creamery, including creamline milks, yogurts, and ice creams. They recently added grass-fed beef and mozzarella to their product list, as well. Traders Point cows are lucky cows. The herd happily grazes on natural grasses and is never given antibiotics or synthetic hormones. Why is growing organic a priority for your
