Triple S FarmRR #1 Box 122A Stewardson, IL 62463217-895-3652 Fax 217-895-3652 triplsfarm@rr1.net Stan Scott Schutte has been farming his 200 acres in south central Illinois for 30 years and his farm slogan says it all: “We Grow Taste.” At Triple S Farm the goal is to raise the best tasting, highest quality meats and produce without using drugs and chemicals. All the pastures are certified organic and all the animals are drug free since 1998. The produce is certified organic, the poultry is free range and no GMO grains are used. For Stan it is all about the farm philosophy: Animals are what they eat. They are fed only healthy grains. The all vegetarian diet produces a healthier, tastier finished product. Work at Triple S Farm is a family affair. Stan’s son, Ryan, is co-owner and oversees production. Daughter, Kristen, is in charge of produce from the planting to harvesting and packing. Two other employees make Triple S Farm work. Quinten works with the animals and Heather does whatever needs to been done including sales, production, inventory, packing, invoicing and office work. Also hanging out are the farm dogs, Sam, Slim, Shorty, Stider and Buddy. Triple S Farm ProductsTaste is what makes the Triple S Farm meats special.Pork, beef, lamb, chicken and duck are raised with an all vegetarian diet and graze on organic pastures. The 800 hens produce farm-fresh eggs. The produce at Triple S Farm includes a wide variety of potatoes, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, sweet corn, carrots, beets, peppers, turnips, watermelon, cantaloupe, popcorn, edamame (tofu beans), asparagus, cloves and hard red wheat. The Schuttes also like to grow good times at their farm. They invite people to visit the farm for a tour or camping out at the pond. Most of the meats and produce are sold at Farmers Markets, on-farm sales and through buying clubs. Triple S also sells to restaurants and wants to expand home delivery sales.
